After several roster attempts I always get mixed reviews. If someone tells me to include a character on one roster post.. the next one comes around and that character is on and others complain about that character's inclusion.

I'm not sure if people are trolling or extremely fickle, but overall I'm curious on what's the MOST important thing when judging a roster. Thank you!

Roster has to have the following things:
New F-Zero Rep

Minus .5 points for each obscure side character, or minor character.
Minus 1 point for each impossible character that I hate.
Plus 2 points for awesome characters even if they can't make it in the game.
PSN:omegamarth. I play fighting games.
Get well soon RG3. Washington needs you!

Other: I don't rate rosters because I'm sick of seeing them. I don't care how much work you put into it or if it includes my favorite choices.

I rate a roster by:

1. Relevance of Characters/Franchise
There shouldn't and probably won't be an new F-Zero character in SSB4, so, if Samurai Gorah or Black Shadow appear, it's gonna get a lower rating. Meanwhiles, I think that characters like Shulk or Chrom are likely, and are also my favs. Which brings me to...

2.Characters that I like
A roster is going to get a lower rating from me if it doesn't have a character like Shulk or Chrom, you can even see my sig for further proof.

3.Amount of Reps
Mario is a good series, but it doesn't deserve 6 or 7 reps, I think that 4 or 5 is good enough. While, I think Fire Emblem should get 3 reps thanks to it's expansion in the west.
Does your SSB4 roster have Shulk?...No....Then I hate it.

It's ****.
Surely there's no problem with them putting me in Brawl, right?
It's ****ing satire, damnit. In NGE, Doritos are perishable goods

Any roster is an automatic fail if Jigglypuff isn't on it.
Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone.

Kinda weird that you didn't list "How much I like the characters" as a choice, so other.

In the grand scheme of things, I don't pretend to understand likelyness. I just call out obvious atrocities as crap.
The Korey: Belligerent thundering since 1988.

I'd say reasoning except I don't rate rosters & I don't even look at 'em anymore because I've never seen one that wasn't full of fanboyism & hipster crap.
