Namco bandai. Just Why?

#1thebrawler56Posted 3/14/2013 8:45:36 AM
Why did nintendo hire them? I've been wondering for a while now. The good part i see is possible character openings. Lloyd Irving maybe? Hopefully. I want to use Sword Rain on Link. Just because. :-/

They were hired for their experience with making fighting games. There's no proof that Namco was hired for their characters.

Why exactly Namco was chosen over Capcom, SNK, Aksys, etc, is unknown.

pretty much this

They have Soul Calibur, Tekken and various random animu fighters under their belt, though it`s the Tekken and Tales teams primarily.

Good thing we didn't get Capcom or the game would have probably had a really ****ing stupid comeback mechanic.

Or locking 1/3 of the cast to on-disc DLC. Seriously, if there's anything that Namco does well, it's the roster, just look at Tekken Tag 2.

Well we did have Revenge Final Smashes in Brawl... but yes.

TvC's Baroque was one of the best Capcom comeback mechanics. X-Factor is definitely awful though.

They'll probably give us a ton of costumes and other aesthetic content for free too (Tekken and SoCal both)

Meanwhile Capcom is content with charging us $5 for costumes on only 4 characters.

We're still talking about why Namco's a good choice of course.
