In my opinion it didn't need addressing. It's a given that the technical aspect of it will improve for this next gen game since pretty much every Nintendo game released since Brawl has had better online set ups than Brawl did.

I'm sure that by now, Sakurai is aware of most of Brawl's problems so I'm pretty optimistic about this game.

I don't like the idea of playing with items on 'just because', but I suppose that, even if something like that were to happen to the random matchmaking, playing with friends online would just involve rulse that you all agree on.
It's good to see that Sakurai's taken notice of what Brawl lacked in regards to online play, in any case.

I think it goes without saying since the Wii U's online is actually good, as opposed to Wii's.

I think it goes without saying since the Wii U's online is actually good, as opposed to Wii's.


The thing is, despite it's flaws, Wiis online COULD be good with a little work.

Look at Mario Kart Wii.
Now that was GOOD online.

Smash could have been the same.
