This is a split board - You can return to the Split List for other boards.

I hope the item switch is removed from this game

ITT casual players are too stupid to understand how menus work. I guess they've never actually played the Smash Bros. games then, as that in and of itself requires navigating through menus first.

Automatic failure for not getting that this is an obvious joke topic

I was, just messing around to see who'd be the ignoramus to say

double the failure for referencing MLP.

You say that like it's a bad thing to do so. You ever heard of all the topics that got derailed on the KH Boards?

You're welcome.

I think it's better to have the online option of casual or competitive matches. Both would be happy.

No, casuals will not be happy with this. Everyone will only choose the competitive option just like they did in Brawl. You say people would have a choice but competitives will force casual players to either play with them or play the game with CPUs.

A game is just to have fun. If you're not having fun, then don't play it.

More villains need to be protagonists. BiS proves it can work.
Ridley, Ganondorf, Fawful, Bowser, and Dimentio all for their own games!

I'm with Sakurai, however, I do wish he alllowed even more options for competitive style play. But I certainly agree with his design choice of making the game even more accessible.

Technically, he tries to make the game NOT competitive. It's shown by things like Peach pulling out a Beam Sword and Tripping. But I digress.

The item switch ruined my fun in Brawl. Everybody online plays Brawl competitively because they use the item switch to turn items off. Those big mean tournament players force me to choose between playing without items or not playing the game at all. It would be great if I could find people who wanted to play the game with items but those people do not exist. I know because I only look for casual players on forums for competitive Brawl players. Not that it matters because no casual Brawl players exist online.

Since the item switch has forced countless casual gamers to play the game with competitive players it should be removed. Super Smash Brothers cannot permit casual and competitive play at the same time and the fun-hating competitive scene already has traditional fighting games. Therefore this game must remove all elements that would permit competitive play.

What other features should be added or removed from this game to make it more fun for everyone? Remember that options are bad because if you don't like an option you have to use it anyway. Also, please keep in mind that in order to make the game more fun for everyone we must choose to alienate some players.
