Two reasons why PAC-MAN will not be in Super Smash Bros. 4

Reason 1:Super Smash Bros. is a series where all characters that get in are extremely popular and their games sell millions, like the R.O.B. series, for example. Pac-Man games in the last years have sold mediocre:

http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=Pac-Man&publisher=&platform=&genre=&minSales=0&results=200

This information is completely factual and real. Pac-Man games do not sell anymore, and thus, Pac-Man is an undeserving character to be in Smash Bros., unlike Mr. Game & Watch, who actually it is factual his games have sold millions in software sold.

Reason #2: Pac-Man is NOT a popular character. He is just recognizable. Just like Super Mario, Link, and Pikachu, they are not popular either, just recognizable, that is why the huge Arcades have sings of characters like Lloyd Irving, Heihachi, and Tamagotchi. It doesn't mattter that the Arcade game alone has sold over 2 billions in quarters, he is not popular and nobody likes his game! PAC-MAN is NOT a popular character, he is NOT the icon of Namco, why would they put an unpopular character as their mascot? You are wrong, PAC-MAn is not Namco's icon, it is actually the DIG DGG guy.

Exactly.

What can Pac Man do, anyway? All he does is eat pellets.

I know this is supposed to be sarcastic, but some of it is true... Pac-man is more recognizable than he is "popular."

To be fair, it's only his old design that is recognizable to anybody, his new design isn't anywhere near as iconic.

Not "New" per say, but a "Modern" design.

Show this to someone and there's not a massive chance they'll say "Pac-Man:"

Most anyone who isn't a child of a very young age would be able to recognize this as Pac-Man immediately.:

Pac-Man is definately more recognizable than popular, but he is still more popular than half of Brawl's roster.
