No news on this game in ages. Not good!

I'm worried that they've run into some major issues or they've basically turned the game into a heaping pile of crap. It's just been too quiet.

I know the game isn't going to be released until mid 2013 but I'm worried as to what it's going to end up as.

No news is just no news. It doesn't mean anything good or bad. Ignition jumped the gun with trying to hype a game that was nowhere near complete. Atlas probably doesn't want to make the same mistake and push things too early. They want a more concrete idea of how the finished product will look before shooting their mouths off.

The game needs to be perfection because nothing like it has come out in a very long time. I just hope we don't have slowdown madness.

I'm also worried that the game might diverge from it's original intent and end up as some free-for-all mash up of characters from Atlus games.

I just want lots of characters, a ton of magic and skills, fantastic online multiplayer, and an amazing soundtrack.

Give it to me!

Update: I PMed Jason and asked him about getting an update on the game, and he had this to say:

Hey! Well it was a very early (Japanese) build, so it's really hard to give conclusive opinions. It basically felt like co-op Odin Sphere. Side-scrolling beat-em-up, etc. And yeah, it still exists!

I'll have a few more thoughts/details in a big piece on Atlus that's going up on Kotaku within the next few weeks.

Actually, Dungeon Fighter Live came out recently, but it was complete ass.
