Atlus picked it up, so I'm not worried.

But, that also means that the game will never be released in Europe.

The PS3 isn't region locked, so why is that a big deal?

Because it's Atlus, the only company to ever region lock a PS3 game.

Dragon's Crown will probably be region locked. Also, I'm not going to import the game because Atlus hates Europe.

And this game looked so fun too. =/

It's definitely possible, but I think it will only happen if the international versions have full Japanese language settings like P4A did.

Yeah, and it only did it for one game, and it got a lot of crap for it. It was also an Atlus developed game, not just published. I doubt Atlus will region lock this game.

Arc System Works developed P4A.

If we don't see any information in the next few months we're in trouble. If the only new information shows up at E3 the game will be nearing release.

I'm expecting and dreading a massive delay.

For folks worried, I'll drop this here:

Update: I PMed Jason and asked him about getting an update on the game, and he had this to say:

Hey! Well it was a very early (Japanese) build, so it's really hard to give conclusive opinions. It basically felt like co-op Odin Sphere. Side-scrolling beat-em-up, etc. And yeah, it still exists!

I'll have a few more thoughts/details in a big piece on Atlus that's going up on Kotaku within the next few weeks.

Thanks for posting this. This is news, I'm surprised that no one else in the topic commented about this.
