Green Pikmin

I'm so gonna get bashed for this.

At the end of the day when you have to gather all of your pikmin in their onions, Olimar has the option to get his green suit (SSBBrawl) from his ship along with some green Pikmin you can find out in the day. The point of this is that you can sneak around the planet at night time to find many more treasures for you & your Pikmin. The green Pikmin can camoflague into the grass and bushes to retrieve these items for you. However, many more creatures are out to get you and your Pikmin if they spot you out in the open. So it's a risk & reward system.

I just think it could add a new element of play to the game for more fun.

Thoughts? :/

I think it could be interesting, but it would be woefully limited depending on the abilities of green pikmin, as well as there being only one pikmin type at night. If it's just them getting things from bushes and grass, why can't other pikmin types do the same thing? Also, if that's their only ability, then it would be incredibly limited at night (high-risk; low-reward) since they can't be thrown to high places or breathe underwater; effectively cutting off portions of explorable areas. Lastly, how is being able to camouflage with bushes and grass make them able to find treasure? I don't see the connection.

Other Pikmin would be seen in the grass by the nocturnal creatures out to get them. I guess green Pikmin could have some sort of addition in speciality, but its just my small idea.

This idea has been proposed many, many times before. The only difference is you suggested the color green rather than black.

I've described it here:

as an ability of the white pikmin.

Rereading his OP, it seems like he either was trying to say either:
1.) Because the greens can camouflage with bushes and grass, they're less likely to be eaten when left unattended carrying items, which is particularly big risk for other colors at night. (This is what I originally thought he meant, and still is what I think he meant.)

2.) The greens are capable of digging through dense grass to find treasure. (A possible alternative interpretation, but not what I think he intended.)

I suppose. It just sounded like being able to camouflage allowed them to find and retrieve treasure somehow. If they were the only type able to dig in grass and bushes, then that would make sense, but camouflaging usually implies hiding from enemies rather than gaining the ability to retrieve treasure.

The green Pikmin can camoflague into the grass and bushes to retrieve these items for you.

That's the line that confused me a bit; though I get the general gist of what he's saying.
