C/D: You should be able to throw the other captain.

C, being able to throw the other captain would help with controlling your pikmin once you've thrown them up on a ledge. Of course, the captain aught to only be able to be thrown as far/high as the purple pikmin... it wouldn't look right to have them being thrown like the yellows, unless there was some kind of hang glider upgrade for your captain in the game...

D: Throwing your partnering captain off a ledge would become possible, especially in areas such as dungeons where bottomless pits exist. Good luck recovering him.

I'm pretty sure that when you exploit the scales glitch, the captains respawn at the base. Maybe you could do the same for throwing them off of bottomless pits?

C. Could be helpful for certain puzzles, and allow for big shortcuts since the captains can't jump.

They can't just "respawn"... bottomless pits only exist in caves, right? So the little copter thing is with you... maybe it could fly down, catch the captain, and put him back on the ledge, or something.

Maybe the captain should just be incapacitated until you finish the cave. Or it should just eject you from the cave. As punishment for carelessly tossing a captain off the edge.

You might as well just have them jump since the whole point of having two captains in the first place was to multi-task better; meaning they usually would be in two different regions of the area.
