I prefer Pikmin 1. The level design is better and I like the time restraint. --- if you wouldn't mind i would like to lose ~ c h e e t a h ~ |

Ghost-inZeShellPosted 12/1/2012 7:39:34 AM | I like them both equally.
Pikmin 1 had magic. Simplistic and charming.
Pikmin 2 had more features, abilities, pikmin, enemies, levels, hazards, ect...(everything) Challenging and very fun. |

Da_doppenPosted 12/1/2012 1:34:26 PM | Pikmin 2, by far. ****ing time limit. Also, Pikmin 1 was really forgettable imo, I don't remember much from it. --- Maybe Doopliss isn't kicking ass, but he's taking names! |
kirbymastahPosted 12/1/2012 1:36:46 PM | I prefer pikmin 1, and especially the wii's version of dealing with the time limit (aka letting you rewind).
Pikmin 2, while great as well, really lacked strategy and balance overall (cough bitter sprays + purple pikmin). The upgrade system was very cool though. |
sreamer14ydrPosted 12/2/2012 5:57:31 AM | I liked Pikmin 1, it got me hooked on the franchise, but, I love Pikmin 2 better than 1. Pikmin 1 brought me into the series, but I never could finish the game, due to the time limit of 30 days. I hate being rushed to finish the game, so that was the downfall for me.
Pikmin 2 had more pikmin, characters, challenge modes, and the time limit was gone, which means I can go at my own pace, which I love! So, I go with Pikmin 2. I also have Pikmin 2 Nintendo Selects for my Wii now, so I can relive the past :) I love it! |
_Taidow_Posted 12/2/2012 4:03:52 PM | pikmin 2. I enjoy exploration more than time limits. --- Prior GFAQs name: AngelTails http://i41.tinypic.com/25qvqfd.png - Thanks to Mew_ on Serebii Forums |
Ghost-inZeShellPosted 12/2/2012 5:13:21 PM | I enjoyed the time limit of Pikmin 1. I enjoyed the freedom of Pikmin 2. |
kirbymastahPosted 12/3/2012 9:58:31 AM | I don't mind people disliking the time limit, as yeah it does limit your ability to explore as much, but I don't understand how people on gamefaqs (aka people who know how to play games) actually completely run out of time on pikmin 1 and then complain about that. Thirty days is VERY generous, enough days for a 10 year old to beat the game the first time (aka me a decade ago). 30 Days is hardly rushing you as long as you're not stupid, and the purpose of pikmin is primarily strategy. And pikmin 2 was the one lacking in strategy.
but to each their own, if you enjoyed the exploration more, then that's fine. |
