shadowreaper7Posted 1/19/2013 4:26:33 AM | We will likely see the return of the gaming staples: Emperor Bulblax (possibly empress Bulblax) Sangret (Possibly pileated snagret) Beady long legs (Possibly Raging long legs) Armoured Cannon Beetle
Stuff i would personally like to see however. Give me my Puffstool back!! And smoky progg - I love that guy. --- Black FC: 2666-8397-4718 Author of the Starfox Story on the Starfox Assault board. Check it out! Don't Fear the Reaper |

If there is one thing that Nintendo likes, it is reoccurring bosses. [Source: Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby]I like Puffstool, too. The Smoky Progg scared the hell out of me. |
ArtOWarfarePosted 1/19/2013 7:38:11 AM | I, for one, would be okay if none of the bosses we've previously seen returned. If I wanted to fight the bosses from Pikmin 1 or 2, I'd play Pikmin 1 or 2. If I'm going to be paying ~$400 for this game (it's likely I won't have enough free time this year to play more games than Pikmin 3... And maybe SC2:HotS,) then it best have A LOT of new content. I'm thinking at least 3x as much content as Pikmin 2.
Having said that, I think Nintendo will have some bosses return, like Ghost-inZeshell said: Nintendo likes reoccurring bosses.
I think the most probable four bosses to return (in order of probability) will be: 1 - Beady Long Legs 2 - Sangret 3 - Empress Bulblax (I think Emperor Bulblax will be an ordinary enemy, not a boss, like in the second Pikmin.) 4 - Armored Cannon Beetle |
Not_King_BooPosted 1/19/2013 10:09:57 AM | I'd like to see the Emperor and Empress Bulblaxes return, as well as the Snagrets. If the Goolix and Armored Canon Beetle were to return as normal enemies, that'd be good, too.
That being said, one I really don't want to return is the Smokey Progg. In my opinion, that should stay in the first game as a challenge to fans of the series who go and play it. |
SSBMaster11Posted 1/19/2013 10:36:26 AM | I'm hoping to see the Armored Cannon Beetle back, even though it wasn't in Pikmin 2. (Well, I mean the boss, not the enemy that appeared in Pikmin 2) --- Challenge Mode scores: 230, 300, 249, 100, 299(perfect!) Overall: 1178 All the info is there, except the info that isn't there. |
andis1992Posted 1/19/2013 11:05:46 PM | Im sure they will keep the staple bosses. although, considering the bosses in pikmin 2 were all underground, i highly doubt many will return to the overworld. its just not very canon (not that nintendo gives a crap about that). oh, and this. banjo kazooiePosted 1/20/2013 11:36:08 AM (edited) | Zelda doesn't really have much in the way of recurring bosses. Not anymore, anyway. The last time we saw King Dodongo was in 2004, for example. ---
