Orange Flowered Pikmin are either deconfirmed or being kept secret.

The 2 new Pikmin types are revealed on the box art. If there is another new Pikmin type, why not put them on the final box art as well? (Unless the title logo counts)

I suppose an argument can be made that the Purple and Whites aren't featured, even though they're confirmed to return.

Maybe these orange flowered Pikmin are found much later in the game, or are special somehow. I really doubt that they'd make the logo orange if there weren't something that corresponded with the color in the game.

Two things: "deconfirmed" isn't a word. I would normally ignore something like that, but it's in the topic title.

Also, there's already a thread for this:

I know it's not an actual word, but it's a term used a lot.

I'm sorry for bumping this thread, but I really have to ask since I've never seen this non-word before. What is the word supposed to mean?

The orange-flowered box hints that orange-flowered pikmin exist and are just being kept secret, the box art isn't 100% final, or it doesn't mean anything and Nintendo misleadingly chose a color of pikmin flower that isn't in the game.

... OR (now here's a real crazy thought), maybe you can make more Rock pikmin with an orange candypop bud and that's what is represented on the cover.
