Truly only local coop?

The official site only mentions drop in / out coop but co-optimus mentions local only specifically.

Can anyone confirm?

Hello,

For the moment it seems that RAW will support local coop. I don't have a lot of information about that but I'll give you some answers as soon as possible!

I play mostly solo in all games so it does not bother me much. Surely won't stop me from buying a game that interests me.

If anything changes though I'll let you guys know.

While I respect your enthusiasm, online play is equally imortant to some and should not be looked down upon. My wife doesn't play video games and my son is not old enough to, I have no choice but online for co-op.

Yeah I have friends too, but not all(if any) of them want to help me get achievements in a fantasy hacknslash RPG. Undoubtedly a game that features co/op will have a few co/op achievements, and I don't blame people for wanting online...it is 2012 after all. Theres also people who don't care about achievements and just want to clear the game with other people. One last thing is people have to work, take care of kids, etc and may not have schedules that allow for their buddies to be by every time they fire up the game:/ Seems like you'd know all of this unless you're a tween/teen and schools out do you and your friends have relatively nothing to do but Xbox:/

Online co-op is a MUST!
I missed it so much in Torchlight :(
I have RL friends who play with me but they live in other cities(about 30-60km away) so we play always online together.

September release confirmed.
$10 price tag confirmed.
Local 2 player co-op only, no online, confirmed.

Check the official forum for the release, and co-optimus' E3 interview for the price and co-op info; too lazy to provide links as this board probably does not get much traffic.

Can't wait for September
