I absolutely loved Amalur. It felt like such a great compliment to Skyrim and some of the Euro-RPGs with their darker, more realistic tone, I thought the colorful world and stellar combat really gave it it's own identity. I wish a publisher would pick this up, there is so much potential here for sequels, it's certainly not a perfect rpg, but the foundation is there.
My only tip, and I'm sure you read this before, play on Hard and finish up all the side-quests before you take the boat so you don't level-lock the last zone too low. Ideally you want to be like lvl 31 before you take the boat over, that will all make sense in game.
