Tomb Raider

I'd appreciate the idea of this new Tomb Raider a lot more if they didn't feel it necessary to make your character look like a supermodel. I'm often more offended by games that have throwaway female protagonists for no better reason than to give the player some eyecandy, as if relating to another human being can't transcend gender or physical appearance. To be fair, males are often treated the same way, but there is more of an effort to create male characters that don't all look like GQ prettyboys. Rarely do you see a female protagonist in a game that isn't designed either for her alluring beauty, her heaving bosom, or both, and it gets pretty tiresome if you're someone like me, who prefers to play a game to become invested in the characters, regardless of whatever imperfections they may have as people.

Does it really matter whether or not it matters? Doesn't mean it's off-limits for discussion.
