Have they mentioned if this is getting a digital version?

No. The day 1 digital thing hasn't become common practice, yet. So far they've only spoken about the physical versions, but they haven't said anything that would preclude day 1 digital. They may still be working with Sony/MS to make it happen, or maybe it won't go digital until some number of months or years.

But they would be smart to, since they profit more off digital sales.

I already have too many digital games on my PS3. GTAV would nearly finish it off. lol.

Hopefully it will, my ps3 doesnt read discs and its out of warranty.

Yeah I'm hoping by next summer it will be cheap to download off psn. RDR made my ps3 run HOT. Was hoping laying off the disc drive may help.

Might not have taken off to Sony's expectations just yet, but all the big name games have gone through with it since they announced it.

My machine has been chewing hard on The Last of Us and while I usually prefer physical releases I can freely delete and reinstall on the HDD I would actually prefer to get this one digitally just to save whatever life the Blu Ray drive has left.

why would anyone want a digital version of it? if I am spending that much money on a game I want to actually own it.
