After beating GTA V, my initial feelings have been confirmed. GTA V is better than SA, but obviously it's all opinionated. There's literally not even one thing that I liked in SA more than GTA V (ok maybe going to the gym). Taking off the nostalgia goggles, does anyone disagree with me? Anything in particular? Or is it just that emotional sentiment we all have to certain games?
I don't agree either. To name a few things... GTA SA had more safehouses. GTA 5's realism limited the amount of fun to be had. It's harder to survive a firefight at four stars, but it's easier to lose the cops than it was in GTA SA. Let's not forget about the unlockables and the item drops. Money was super-easy to get anyway, so I guess item drops aren't really that big of a deal. The thing I miss the most are the side-missions like Vigilante, fire-fighting, and working as a paramedic. If memory serves, you could also go trucking. Also, the radio stations were better. Anyway, yeah, I like GTA SA better.
SA held my attention better. That might've been because I was a lot younger, but I just felt exploration was a lot more... explorative? Beyond the urban areas in GTAV, there really isn't much to see or do. Just a lot of nature.
