Grand Theft Auto V

Ok so i read on IGN how one of the developers said how "open world multiplayer" was integral to the development of the game.

That to me is concerning because for me the main story mode in GTA should always just be single player, an integrated online structure in my eyes would be too distracting (ala burnout paradise and modern NFS games)

I'm all for GTA muliplayer and had great fun on the GTA4 online, but can we just keep it separate from the main game. The GTA franchise is one of the few remaining games that are amazing for their immersive single player stories

I don't know how the term "open world multiplayer" led you to believe they weren't keeping them separate. They're talking about the free roam and other aspects of multiplayer. You don't have to go into it at all if you don't want to.

It is separate from the main game.
