Anyone else feel like this game has kind of a cartoon-ish graphic style?

"You guys watching in HD at all?"

Also, "You serious?"

He came across as rude and couldn't handle that people didn't agree, so he assumed we did something wrong. Further was proved when he went on the defensive against me.

He also didn't answer my question, further proving that he's in the mindset that only he can be right.

Pretty sure you are the only one that saw it like that.
But then again, you are LordPoncho.

i think the art style is about as ´´cartoony´´ as the original san andreas

i think what happened here is that the game dosnt have a ´´filter´´ like gta 4 and SOOOO many games this gen have had....so it is easy to see where he is coming from

the game definitely is alot more colorful

Cartoony isn't the word I would use. It's just less muddy. It's closer to TBoGT than GTA IV. I think it fits though, brighter/lighter graphics for a lighter toned story than in GTA IV.

all the GTA games had this style

did you not play GTA IV?

even 4 still had this semi comic/weird style more subtle than SA or VC but it still was present in my eyes

I wouldn't say cartoonish or unique, but the lighting effects and the colors are a bit more prominent than in many previous games and many games this gen. that are all brown and colorless. Personally I love it and the lighting looks great.

The concept art for the GTA series has always been very cartoony/stripped back in comparison to most games. (key word - CONCEPT)

People denying the cartoony vibe aren't looking subtly enough IMO

Also, Chinatown Wars.

I've heard this comment so many times for so many damn games... cartoony is not the word you're looking for. It's color saturation. Lots of bright colors. Reality tends to be colorful. There are far too many games today afraid to experiment with color, defaulting to a drab grey/brown scheme.

Anytime someone actually goes and makes a game that reflects reality it looks unnatural because of this trend. Look in your pantry, every single damn package is like a visual assault against your eyes. Look at the sky, it's going to be a queasy shade of baby blue. Think about it.
