Better Radio plz, GTA 4's radio was garbage

I liked a lot of the music in 4, unfortunately though I am a fan of rock music. Tragically for me, whenever that goodbye horses song comes on, I uncontrollably visualize that dude in silence of the lambs dancing around while performing the 'ol tuck-back. It's just disturbing.

I have the same thing go through my head whenever I hear it. If I were to ever have amnesia, that song would bring back part of my memory.

I hope there's a lot of good stations in V. I could just drive around for hours listening to most any station on the radio in VC and SA, but in IV it was either LRR or the techno station because most of the stations and songs were junk.

I liked that they included jazz and chill music in the stations. I thought it was awesome hearing Aphex Twin in GTA.

Good post, Dark Lord M.

I'd forgotten about Aphex Twin, Kashmir.

It's funny; GTA IV's music, save having a chart station, is an accurate representation of the time. Rock fans were still listening to old crap, Indie Rock was peaking, Euro pop hadn't exploded again yet, and New York rap was weak, and Electro was getting better.

Judging by the music scene now, most genres've improved, particularly soft rock, blues rock, hard rock, New wave, metal, rap, and hair metal. Spot the Love Fist t-shirt in the artwork? A possible sign of GTA reflecting all that 80's, 70's, and 60's nostalgia around right now. There're so many new good bands playing with that old sound.

I liked LRR, stuff like Styx, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart were quite awesome. I usually prefer Thrash, but those classic rock songs were awesome.

And TLAD adding stuff like Deep Purple & Motley Crue was even better!

I did like the Electro Choc songs added with TBOGT though. And that one Kelis one!

Obviously not in V but would it be cool in future GTA's maybe R* could partner with something like Pandora or I Heart and you could make your own station. WAs it SR3 that did that with your playlist had DJ and everything? That's one feature SR actually had a cool idea on.

Not sure which game did that but it wasn't SR. And why does everyone think IV's radio stations were garbage? Aside from SA, IV is the only GTA that I didn't have a problem listening to almost every radio station.

*Turn on radio*
"EINS ZWEI DREI, SHIKKI ZHIKKY-"
*Turn off radio*

For whatever reason, that song came on constantly on the radio no matter what car I grabbed.

That got old fast.

I liked that song lol. I could never seem to get it to play for me. Journey on the other hand was great but always seemed to reset when I got in a new car.
