It's pointless.

Was it in SA that you got to fly to LC for a meeting during a mission? That's always welcome, but outside of that again there's really no point.

I was hoping we would be able to return to LC after that mission. That would've been awesome. Going back to LC was great, I didnt expect it and it brought some nice nostalgia.

It would be an interesting thing if you have GTAIV game data installed you could take the characters from IV to travel to Los Santos and vice versa. Maybe not as a story thing, but just to play with the characters in both cities.
