And, as you said, Hannity drives me nuts. The first thing he did when Osama was "killed" was congratulate Bush and gave no credit to Obama.

Hannity is a nut case, but in that sense he was 100% correct. Obama took credit for something he had nothing to do with. But doesn't take credit for bad things that are his fault. The perfect American president I suppose :P lol

So directing intelligence and our military forces for a few years after Bush exits is something he shouldn't take credit for? And, as I've stated in previous threads, things people attribute to being his "fault" aren't his fault. You can't get something done with adysfunctional government where one side is working to better the country and the other is working to make the president a one term president, effectively doing nothing at all.

It's people like you that wanted Romney. A man who blamed everyone but himself for losing the election. A man who claims appealing to more races means you're giving gifts to them and that somehow makes it unfair. A man who thought a Republican from the NORTH had a change. I'm sorry, being a Republican from the north almost instantly loses the southern vote.

We will be in a much better place with Obama than we would with Romney.

Fox (faux?) News isn't news. It's anti-Americanism.

Don't worry, one day you'll grow up.

Don't worry, already have.

And I'm not regurgitating anybody's opinion but my own. I was a huge fan of Fox News during the Bush era. Notsomuch anymore.

Sorry, I was speaking in general. It wasn't meant to be directed toward anyone. I should have erased the quote before posting, or posted an individual msg.

A lot of the Fox news bothers me as well.. Sean Hannity drives me godly insane. Of course no one is right on his show, no one even has a chance to open their mouth because he is too busy running his.

Ah. Gotcha. I have the same problem with Bill O'Reilly. "No spin zone, except that we're always right and when we spin things...it's not really spinning." Hate him. If anybody even says something slightly in opposition, he cuts them short and says they're wrong.

And, as you said, Hannity drives me nuts. The first thing he did when Osama was "killed" was congratulate Bush and gave no credit to Obama. Sure, it was something that started in the Bush era, but Obama continued it and deserves credit too. Fox News slanders everything, stretch the "truth" and generally just outright lie.

That said, I trust politifact a lot. No bias.

I think thats kind of the Fox way of debating, talking over each other and preventing their guests from completing a statement.

And, Bush shouldn't be congratulated for anything in my opinion. The entire Bush family is probably one of the most corrupt families on earth.

Then theres Glenn Beck. I don't necessarily disagree with what he has to say, its just the way he says it. He's a drama queen. I'm an avid believer that we have a broken and very corrupt Government, so its interesting to hear his opinion. I've also done enough research of my own to know that a lot of what he says is pretty accurate.. Its just the theatrical presentation that irritates me.

Bottomline, left, right, indy, etc., any political leader in this modern era is most likely corrupt. There are no right or wrong choices in voting anymore. The outcome will always be the same, simply because the individuals pulling the strings are not the individuals you vote for.

I second politifact, gives the truth and no biased garbage. There was a picture I saw on Facebook the other day, let me see if I can find it.

Found it:

Morsi has surprised me. He has this dumb goofy look about him, but he's shown himself to be quite the politician.

Oh and of course Iran is supplying Gaza. That's nothing new.

Reading/watching the news isn't a hobby?

Fox (faux?) News isn't news. It's anti-Americanism.

You, Lord, yes you pulled fox out of thin air and started the whole mess. You all attack fox as if it's on its own as biased. The only reason for the attacks being it's not biased in Your favor.

For instance, the vast majority of us think the news media are politically biased. You could simply say, "Well, duh, that means they probably are biased." But the problem is that all of us think the media are biased against us, regardless of our political affiliations. It's called the hostile media effect -- if you are passionate about your beliefs, you'll always perceive the news as being skewed against you. Researchers can show two opposing groups the same news clip, and both will come away saying that the clip was horribly skewed against their side. And even weirder, when later given a quiz about the facts presented in the clip, the two groups actually remember it differently.

Now take a look at this study, which compared a person's average political knowledge with their primary source of news. The results were surprising: The most knowledgeable groups were viewers of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Hot on their heels? Fans of Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh.

Never mind the fact that it's a pretty bad sign when the most politically educated people in the country are relying on either comedy shows or political pundits for their news. The key is that these outlets are primarily about ruthlessly mocking and dismissing the other side. Yet they attract more knowledgeable voters, not less.

But I said I have previously been a fan of them, during an era for a president I generally disliked. So that invalidates that.

Fox News epitomizes why America gets a bad rep over here, in Australia, and many other places. America isn't the only place where free speech is prided by the people, however it does seem a place where the virtue of restraint doesn't have any merit. Fox News simply couldn't thrive in any other industrialized nation because international broadcasters don't tolerate opinion driven rants in place of proper journalism.

Then there's Fox's weird negative spin on terms like "socialist" or "liberals".
The first is really funny because of course elderly care, social security, health care, public transport etc that western societies tend to think are positive things are all socialist concepts.
The second term annoys me because it assumes that people are either living as a "Liberal" or "Conservative", when people as intelligent beings are liberal or conservative entirely dependent on the individual subject matter.
