I'm not getting this game if I don't have an HD TV by launch.

Nah, I'm still updating to HD. I miss watching television. I want to start watching Basketball.

And I want to play GTAV and RDR.

In all honesty, I prefer gaming on a quality 32" over a larger 50" - 60" anyday. I find it distracting to game on a huge TV, especially the online shooters.

32-40" is the perfect size for gaming.

You more than likely experienced input lag. It causes a slight delay on screen. Its most noticeable in first person shooters. Some people get used to it. I could not. I game on a 32 inch monitor, and occasiinally on my 6 I'll inch, which doesnt have the lag thankfully.

Second hand shops bro. I picked up a 50inch Sony for my basement for $450 and a 42inch Sony for my bedroom for $300 at one. Or, look up Pioneers, picked up a old stock Pioneer Elite 60inch for $1400. There's options out there, you just have to look.

I wouldn't associate it with lag, there doesn't seem to be any.. it runs on good gear though, which usually helps reduce lag. It might sound ridiculous, but I think its easier and faster to aim on a smaller screen. I race and play GTA sometimes on a 60", since the aiming factor isn't as important.

The worst part is that there will be a new generation of televisions coming soon with prices out the wazoo. I forget the name but it's supposed to be better than 1080p and the price range is going to be from 5,000 to the high of 25,000.

And bet two years after they launch you'll be able to get the high end one for a grand!!!

A couple years ago, Samsung had a TV that was the thinnest TV i'd ever seen, and oddly enough I never saw it on sale or display in the US, although I'm sure it was. I saw it on sale in Mexico of all places, it was literally thinner than an ipad.

You are actually half right.

They said I can get an HD TV soon. I busted my back during Christmas.
