GTA4 got a 10/10 on IGN.....will GTA5 get a 10/10?

#1foxyReyokoPosted 5/24/2013 6:28:50 AM
The best it can do is get a 10/10 which would mean it's just equal to GTA4, not any better.

If it gets a 9.9 or below then it means it's worse than GTA4.... yet everyone here acts like GTA4 is the worst GTA ever (lol at these idiots) so how disappointing would that be??

And yes, IGN ratings are usually spot on, admit it

It'll get a 10/10 for sure. I'm one of the rare people who doesn't hate IGN, for the most part they have some good info, sometimes it's way off sure but I don't hate them.

Me too. The only thing I didn't like about them is that they gave ZOE2 a 8.8/10.... that game should be at least a 9.5

Two things here. First, I also am one of the few who don't hate IGN, although they've made me question more than a few things they've said. Secondly, GTA V getting a 10/10 wouldn't necessarily make it equal to GTA IV only. Different games can get the same rating, yet have one be objectively better than the other in a reviewer's eyes. It heavily depends on the games in question, and GTA V's hypothetical 10/10 would certainly be worth more than GTA IV's on the sole basis of having more varied activities, and that's not even mentioning the story or missions compared to its predecessor.

One editor at IGN gave the game a 10/10. This is not reflective of the entire editorial staff.

A different reviewer could have given it a 9/10, which would be one of the lowest ratings for a GTA game at IGN.

IGN reviews r00l. Haven't they only ever given out, like, 3 10/10s?

I think GTA V will get an 11/10.

First of all in a review numbers are completely arbitrary, the opinion given is much more important.

Second of all if a news source gives out information on games that almost as often is not is just flat out wrong it is no a good source, especially when it comes to user submitted content jn games, where similarly compiles sets of information are normally far more reliable.

Third of all ign perpetuates the belief that all male gamers are super nerds that drool over marginally attractive girls that are dumb as bricks provided they like games,

No theyve given out 27. But keept in mind the majority of thr existence it was a 100 point scale, not a 20 point like most places. In a 20 point scqle a perfect score is much more common for obvious reasons. Heres according to wikipedia their list of perfect scores given:

Idk what the last number given is, this is just copied and pasted and the format got messed up.

Yeah, that 9.2 they gave Gears: Judgment was so accurate. The 9.8 Halo 4 got (higher than Halo Reach's 9.5) couldn't have been paid for.

Hey, I have a problem: You say that people are idiots for thinking GTA IV was the best game in the series, and then you imply that people are idiots, or at least lying to themselves, if they think IGN's reviews aren't infallible. They gave GTA IV a 10/10, as you say. But, they also gave GTA 3 a 9.6/10, GTA: VC a 9.7/10, and San Andreas a 9.9/10. Do you even think about what you're going to say?
