I so hope they've improved the melee combat in this one.

No not back to San Andreas level. GTA IV took a step forward San Andreas melee combat was so horrible you could take out a group of enemies just by pressing circle.

I was meaning more about the variety of attacks, besides punch, knee, and shove, but you do have a point. How about add more fighting styles, plus a few different attacks to GTA IV's system. At least Red Dead Redemption added a tackle move, although it along with the melee fighting in general was useless. It was fun to shove people in RDR and IV.

The main problem for me in GTA IV was the lack of consistent punches. It felt like the character had to think about the punch before doing it.
