i dont know any other titles that are not an RPG where you make your own character where you have a new character with new story every game installment that re use no old characters

i bet the writers must hate rockstar for making them mke new characters with new backstories every single game

Silent Hill has never had the same main character twice (except for 1 and shattered memories, which was just a reimagining of 1).

Not only are your topics absolutely terrible, but I'm starting to think your game library is rather weak as well.

Lots of games feature different protagonists.

Darksiders, Bioshock, FarCry, one could even argue that CoD has different protagonists.

Honestly, I think writing a sequal for the same character is harder than writing a new one. I mean in a sequal with the same character the writers have to find a way to further explore and develop the character, which can be harder than creating a new one and have a big development. Either way, no developer is "lazy" cuz they reuse characters. They're "lazy" if the writing is garbage.

Personally I'd rather games like GTA or Saints Row to have new characters each time because it helps make each new game feel like a fresh experience (SR may technically have the same main character each game but I give it a pass because, since that game has a character creator you could make a different character each game if you wanted to)

However I wouldn't mind if they did what Assassin's Creed does and have like a GTA V sub-series that continues the stories of Michael, Trevor, and/or Franklin
