Night-Time shadow effects

Anyone else notice the shadows at night time on the darkest areas, like clothes or cars and buildings, look sort of like "ink blots" or something? It's purply, gray, black, brown.... When it's daytime it's normal looking shadows, but at night it's almost like overkill. Wasn't sure if it was my tv or not, sort of distracting.

Might be brightness or contrast levels affecting that

I noticed this. Is like a 32 bits shadows texture

I think you mean 8 bit, or 16 bit...

you are right 16 bits

I remember I once had this problema with an Age of Empires 2 game that I had installed on an old HDD and just copy pasted on another because i lost the install disc, and the shadows looked exactly the same as this game

Dumb question, but how is this addressed? I was in such a haze last night after the line up, I got home, popped it in and whent he claibration came in I mashed the A button so hard I opened a hole in the space time continuum. Do you mkae it bright or darker to get rid of the blots. I'll test it when I gethome but I figured Imight get the answer early from the boards. Thanks

My monitor was on high brightness as well as the in game brightness, I lowered them both and now it's as it should be. Very pleased now.
