By not saving things for long. I have parked outside buildings, gone inside and come back only to find that my car was gone. This also happens when you try to create a longish trail with the jerry can.

It runs from a swap file on the hard drive, essentially it's virtual memory and it constantly reads from the hard drive, same as most computers do and have been doing for many, many years.

It downloads more ram from the cloud server. That's why people were having so much trouble getting past the introduction race with Lamar when the cloud servers weren't working.
