I haven't actually played it, but I was watching a stream and the beginning sequence just seemed sort of forced and silly. The scene with Michael and his shrink was well written and acted, but then the two wannabe gang bangers repoing the car and the ridiculous language they used was sort of a turn off. And I mean the actual dialogue, not the profanity.
But addressing the profanity, I'm pretty sure not even real gangsters and robbers use language so frequently, nor have I seen the likes of it since Casino lol.
I guess I just get the feeling that all the gangsterism just feels a little forced.

(Spoilers, kind of) Take the introduction of Trevor, which I experienced for the first time last night. Starts out, he is railing a meth head chick from behind. He stops mid-stroke, pulls out and her first question is "now can we smoke?". The chicks boyfriend shows up and begs you to stop banging his girl. So, naturally, Trevor curb stomps the guy, repeatedly.
I've never seen anything that violent in a video game. And this is just Trevor's intro.
