-Fans wanted a sequel. -Nothing was heard of for ages. -Mystery site with remixed TWEWY music and 7 day countdown timer surfaces. -A few days before the countdown finished, rumors of it being an iOS version spread. -Some PR guy comes and says that people should wait for the timer to finish. Says there's more to it. -Countdown finishes. -Nothing but iOS version is announced.
Even after the truth was leaked, SE misled fans into thinking there was still more to keep hype up. Had they not done that, there would have been some disappointment, but it would have faded soon. Instead they made fans even more pissed.
