Just managed to beat Satan for the first time with a pretty good build. In celebration, I'm curious as to what really great set-ups people have ended up with over their dungeon-crawling experience. For myself, off the top of my head:
Tankenstein (The Satan Killer)
-Twenty red hearts
-Both types of batteries
-Bob's Rotten Head
-Cube of Meat
(Went in with 8 red hearts remaining, came out with three. Gish's slow really helped keep everything from rushing me as I picked them apart.)
-The bomb pick-up that enlarges/strengthens your bombs
-Who cares about the rest? Blow everything up.
Set for Life
-Picked up the item that gives 99 keys.
-Got a pill that swapped key and bomb number.
-BLOW EVERYTHING UP.
How about you?
NORN : Klein, I'm scared, please sleep with me tonight, Meow !
KLEIN : I can't : the ESRB would go nuts !
Thought that was more for builds you wish you could try, instead of ones you actually have.
Respect isn't learned, it's earned.
One time playing as Judas I was freaking lucky enough to get money early on and I bought the Book of Revelations, the Relic. Eventually I got 4 Meat cubes (thanks to the Book of Revelations) , damage power-ups, that one item that makes ya shoot piss instead of tears for max rapid fire (sorry forgot what it's called) but gives you lowest range, which was offset by the Technology I got later. By the time I got to Sheol I had so many soul hearts that they couldn't fit in the life bar.
That was a good day.

Killed Satan for the first time with: Money = Power + 99 coins + Triple Shot + Cupid's Arrow + Book of Belial + The Empress + Little Gish
...and good times were had by all.
Just killed Satan again with,
2 cubes of meat
2 pretty flies
charm of the vampire
ouija board (yes bombs pass through rocks with this on)
and a few other ones that didnt help much. (like moms pad and the rosary)
Needless to say this run was overkill. Just a little.
