you're not letting the animation end. if you're hitting up too soon dante will jump up before the "launch" property sends the enemy upwards or high hitstun scaling. --- http://steamcommunity.com/id/toilethumor psn : toilethumorr

Uh, no and no.
Mashing or hitting up too soon doesn't change anything.
1) Hitstun scaling. Do a short combo before it, or do the same combo faster.
2) They're too high in the wheel. At a certain height, prop doesn't hit properly, and it loses some hits required to keep them stunned and launch them, so wait a split second longer after the charge shot.
It's a common problem for Dante players; when I first started using him, I did the prop too soon all the same.
