The reasons I made the sphere bigger and had it do damage + spinning knockdown are:
1) You are sacrificing a character that can get a lot of work done here. It seems like there should be some kind of benefit beyond going Dark.

2) If it did damage + spinning knockdown, it's really hot to think of using this as Phoenix and DHCing to Devil Trigger to kill someone - hahaha. The ultimate "deathwish" strategy. If I played Spencer I would start rounds with Bionic Arm sometimes because why not?

I understand it might be a bit much, but it's an interesting thought to implement some sort of self-kill.

Terrible idea. Don't even think about this until at least TaCc combos are dealt with. I feel like phoenix is so scrubby already, i don't think her having some hard counters is that bad

200k seems kind of weak, especially if you're talking about unscaled.

- phoenix feathers go fullscreen again, like it did in the beta

- 30% more meter gain for every 100k of health lost.

TAC up, X-Factor, TAC left, Phoenix dead. It's a problem that needs a solution. Ideally, TACs can't drain meter, aren't random, etc. This is another thought that seems worth pursuing, though.

And yeah, hard counters for a character that an entire team based around for the entire cast are a pretty big deal. I don't even care about Vergil and Strider. If they get me it's my fault.

Spinning knockdown, which means a guaranteed combo afterward if it hits. She can already combo from her normal explosion always, this would just be super easy. Probably too good.

x-factor dark phoenix doesn't take skill anyway and the only skill normal dark phoenix needs is not getting hit by a THC and dying to chip damage, teleporting into something you shouldn't or choking and getting randomed out by something,

What takes skill is getting the 5 bars for Dark Phoenix. You earn every drop of meter she costs.
