No matter what i do or what i study i feel like my skill isnt improving. I still cant wavedash consistently and cant wavedash backwards at all. My Dante still needs work and lord jeebus i cant learn sword loops for the life of me.

What should I do?

The wall... the dreaded wall. Either buck up and grind harder or step off the game a bit and do somethin else for awhile. People do better after some time away and a fresh outlook.

Also play better people, sometimes it takes a good asswhooping to break the barrier.

try playing more ppl? I recently played more ppl in the last week or so and I got a bit better from being exposed to more playstyles (in my case I basically learned to be more paitent on lame zeros).

Just learn Vergil's X-Factor 3 relaunch loops, you wont even have to bother with Sword Loops, as for Vergil combos, I know a guy that just does Magic series with him and he still somehow manages to win.

But if you can't even get that down, then play this team

Wolverine, Doom, Wesker

Easy execution, high damage, high reward, little chance of error.

Wavedash is just (2 or 3 attacks macro) to down and then repeated as many times as nessesary. It's very simple, maybe you are doing it too fast? Instead of practicing a lot on one day, I would suggest just practicing a little bit fairly often. Sword loops will take time to get down. You will need to put L on one of the shoulder buttons if you are playing on pad.
