Obviously air invincible characters can do it(MODOK doesn't need to reset (Sent/Morrigan/Joe/Jean), but what I need to know is who exactly has the best normals to counter the air unblockable setup. Also if there is a way of escaping the Spencer MODOK's slime setup.

I don't have the guide at hand, and been testing this myself I want to know the limitations of these two setups.

Pretty sure they can just advance guard the slime.

There's also hard-tagging.

Slime hits low. Its an "unblockable" high/low mixup, push-blocking does absolutely nothing.

There's also hard-tagging.

First thing I tried that, but realized that MODOK's slime prevents people from raw tag because you must be on the ground and the slime connects first before the characters hits the ground.

It also stops people from mashing assists because the slime lasts for a second. So hits two characters at the same time, and MODOK's slime doesn't go away if MODOK is hit too. Its very safe and very risk for the oppotent to even try to raw tag.

Needless to say I'm stumped on any other idea to avoid this other than invincible supers and normals that beat MODOK's jumping m. And the grounded one, all I could think is either doing invincible supers or pushblock.

Is that what's happening? From what I can tell, the slime is the first hit of the reset combo. So between recovering from the grapple assist and the first hit of the slime, you should be able to hard-tag.

LOL, dayum I need to learn from you!

If you seen the video, slime hits low FIRST for this setup. If you pushblock the slime, they are too far away to do overhead.

p sure only the puddle of the slime hits low and not the goop itself, so if you can somehow block the slime before it lands that might be a way out

MODOK high+low will pretty much hit a rate that most humans can't block.

You can't because the slime hits meaty, the game won't allow you to raw tag if you fall on the slime first. Like if Vergil drops on a slime while mashing back+assist, he will just end up risking his assist to happy birthday.

And in the Spencer version MODOK's slime hits as soon as you recover.
