Are we getting to the experimental phase yet?

The core of Point/Doom/Vergil is amongst probably the strongest core in the game. Just sayin'

And that's fine. Doesn't mean that it's not beatable. And clearly people aren't trying that hard.

Until they come up against Morridoom. That's the point.

People need to start coming up with side teams to counter MorriDoom, since Doom isn't the answer.

Too bad it's going to take a random at Evo to knock out chris G :(

Chris G says hi, and all the bodies he left in his path says "NOOOOOOOOOOOO"

And yea, people are trying, and losing.

Using the same characters that have been losing to Chris G for 2 years now isn't going to make any progress. In fact, it's making it easier for him because he knows these matchups like the back of his hand.

Chris G hasn't been using Morridoom for 2 years, and he hasn't DOMINATED the whole time he used the team. Some people are hard headed, and they try their hardest with what they are most comfy with. Some people don't want to switch cause they want to "try" with their chars they been using forever.

Just cause they aren't switching teams, doesn't mean they aren't trying. :] GG

I'm gonna have to disagree with this. If they're not interested enough on victory to make some changes in their teams, then they're not trying at their fullest. Almost 90% of the cast is free to Morridoom. Doom clearly doesn't work against the bullet hell. Why would they still try to use HM to counter it?!

It's like my mother told us whenever we said we were hungry at noon: "If you were really hungry, you would eat anything. So simply eat the vegetables that were left from lunch". And that ended up shutting up anyone else trying to ask for food at 4:00 pm >_>

1) You know Phoenix Wright is bottom 5, and free to 90% of the cast but you still use him. Does that mean you're not interested in winning?

2) I bet the first times you try PW you got bodied hard. Did it stop you from trying again?

3) Don't you have the feeling that some matchups you thought were impossible to win became relatively easier to deal with because of experience?

4) Didn't you ever tell yourself that it'd be easier to drop PW and pick Vergil but you just didn't feel like doing it?

Then you know what's on their mind.

All of this doesn't matter because of a single reason. I play this game casually. I play for fun. Neither am I getting any kind of profit out of playing it nor do I have the skills to do it.

These guys, however, have shown time and again that they can equal Chris G in matchup experience and are aiming for some kind of monetary profit.

Since it's been proven that the characters they use aren't effective and they need to aim for the win, I don't see why they can't start experimenting until they find something. They just keep throwing the same crap and Chris G will just keep patiently getting better.

You're wrong. They also play for fun, just like you. They're already making money either from other jobs or from sponsoring alone. Tourney pots are just bonuses (for most of them - the best of them - at least).

Look at 3. Some matchups become easier with time and experience. Remember how Wolverine was deemed completely free to Morridoom but is slowly becoming one of the most reliable character against it. The game is still young, nothing has been proven yet.

Wolverine was never deemed free to Morridoom because it was wolverine who had obtained the first of many wins against Morridoom. A good wolverine still messes with Chris G to this day.
