Who here back then did not buy MvC3 knowing a better version would be released?
With better features, characters, etc?
I was waiting for 3 for so long I didn't care
You're running around on the roof with the limbless wonders!
I got Vanilla for free after winning a Wal-Mart tournament on release night.
Same with Ultimate and MK9.
So, no skin off my back.
I had a rotten time with MvC3 and ignored UMvC3 because Skullgirls had an Infinite Prevention System, but I got UMvC3 after watching The Avengers this weekend.
I'm happy and hyped to have bought it but it seems Capcom's solution to the balance and infinites and everything was to rename Wesker as Vergil.
Two Pyramid Heads walk into a bar.
There were no survivors.
I got mad dough so I didnt mind buying both.

So if the devil wear Prada, Adam Eve wear nada, I'm in between but way more fresher.
I played the original for 9 months and logged in over 200 hours.. I also got the cool special edition box (which I still use), the DLC characters were free, I had a month of Marvel digital comics for free (Which was awesome), and I got an amazing Shuma Gorath T-shirt. I definitely got my $60 worth.

This. I was perfectly satisfied with that purchase.
...and then I said, "Oatmeal? Are you crazy?!"
MVC 3 looked TOO GOOD though. I see what you're saying TC, but I happily bought MVC 3, then UMVC 3.
However, TC, I'm taking the approach you posted about when it comes to SFxT, IF I get the game at all. I'm pretty disgusted with the DLC thing, the lingering issues that have yet to be fixed, capcom's "prioritizing" and such.

Could not wait for mvsc3 so I brought that when it came out then I traded that in and brought umvsc3.
I didn't. I already knew that Capcom was going to pull this after they did it with Resident Evil 5 with RE 5: Gold Edition & SFIV with both SSFIV & SSFIV: Arcade Edition.
That's why I waited for this version before spending my money on the original version.
