Rapid Fire soesn't work on some weapons in the Wii version

#1falufaPosted 12/18/2011 9:13:37 AM
I went into a private match and tested the firing rate of weapons with and without the Rapid Fire attachment. Turns out that the following weapons have no change in their firing rate with the attachment:

> PP90M1
> PM-9
> PKP Pecheneg
> M60E4
> Type-95

Also, nearly every automatic weapon in the game has a base firing rate of 600RPM:

> Every automatic AR except the FAD
> The MP5, UMP, and P90 SMGs
> Every LMG

What?

@TC. I read on the official boards that the type 95 and the pp90 rf was glitched but I didn't know about the others.

I'll be swapping for ex mags on my type 95 class.

^^you're saying rapid fire doesn't work on type 95?

I went into a private match and tested the firing rate of weapons with and without the Rapid Fire attachment. Turns out that the following weapons have no change in their firing rate with the attachment:

Did you base it entirely on sound? Did you track how how many seconds it takes to empty the clip to find the RoF? ._.

From the den kirson boards, I do know that some guns aren't affected by rapid fire as much for the HD versions. Rapid fire was generally thought to increase RoF by 1.33X, but most guns don't get that much of an increase.

This. It takes the same amount of time regardless of wheter it has RF or not. I also looked at how the ammo count changes when firing and noticed no difference. Using RF on the M16 gives it the same fire rate as the Type 95 (i.e., it takes the same amount of time to empty the clip).

You serious about every AR having a RoF of 600 RPM (minus fad)? ;____________;

^^RF didn't work on the 30-20 937 RPM smgs in BO, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it was the same for the fast firing smgs in this game at least.

Just tested everything with a stop watch. I only tested most of these once, and put them in one of the two main categories. The only unique one was MP7 which I kept getting 700-680 RPM for. RoF 'glitches' don't do anything. Confirming what the OP said:

600 RPM
----------------
All automatic AR's (minus FAD)
All LMG's
MP5
UMP
P90
Skorpion

~937 RPM
----------------
FAD
MP5 (RF)
UMP (RF)
PP90
P90 (RF)
PM-9
MP7 (RF)
L86 (RF)
MG36 (RF)
MK46 (RF)
FMG9
MP9
G18

Shotguns
----------------
Unchanged

----------------
MP7 (~700 RPM ?)
