All the babies put me on ignore, let's have a serious discussion.

I don't see Salvador as a "Tank" where his ability is to do more damage. If anything, Axton will be more of the tank than Salv.

Thoughts/Opinions?

Thanks, you just reminded me I want to ignore you. Appreciate the reminder, probably the only useful/helpful/interesting thing you've ever posted.

I haven't really been keeping up with the spoilers so I don't really have an opinion, but that is one of the reasons I don't like arbitrary class names.

Thank you for proving my point and making yourself look like a gigantic baby on the board.

Yeah, Gunzerker doesn't really sound tanky, more like heavy DPS, while the Berserker was more based upon gaining the aggro of the enemy and taking tons of damage.

If Salv is given tanky options though, we've got ourselves a beefy character that can dish out tonnes of damage. Good thing Gearbox doesn't care for balance though.

but if you apply real world military tech, tanks are pretty much the big bad bullies (on land anyway). since this isnt a true RPG, i feel like the cliched class names should be tossed. i lack the creativity to come up with a better name, though.

Gunzerker is suppose to have a skill called "come at me bro" where he flips double birds to grab aggro of enemies so he will have tank like abilities.

Hold up. If a character is meant to have a lot of health to absorb damage, isn't that what a "tank" essentially is? Besides, a "tank" character doesn't have to have a low DPS.  What's wrong with having a bruiser that can take the damage and dish it out in spades? He could be slower than the other characters, plus I'm not sure if he can ADS so maybe he can be penalized by accuracy. That's my talke on it

The way he's designed, he's gonna shred the enemy HP down to nothing. Tanks can do damage, but Salv's damage compared to a regular tank will be absurd when he uses his dual wield ability correctly.

The way I see it, we have no clue as to what all the skills are for the characters. Axton may be able to tank enemies or he may not, but his turret looks like it will be stationary to one area just like Roland's was.

It seems that since Salvador can move around freely while gaining the aggro of enemies, while also royally messing their day up, he probably is more focused on being a tank straight from the box, where as Axton appears to be useful for flanking.

Dual wield is insanely skill point intensive, despite giving no other benefits. You also lose the ability to aim completely. Even looking at the skill trees as they are now, every other character can easily out damage him. Just having the ability to aim will let a non-dual wielder out damage him at any noticeable range.

So, he has two guns, but won't be able to land many shots, needs to waste a ton of skill points to make it last any significant length of time, and even at point blank range is probably going to be outdamaged by every other class.
