I never saw a problem with a sniper rifle having a bayonet as long as it didn't hinder the weapon in another way. It's just another option for when something gets up close.

It depends on the company making it. Dahl snipers are terrible unless you're only using them to apply elemental damage from a mile away.
Vladof sniper rifles, on the other hand, are awesome. Fully automatic, little to no recoil, damage is barely lower than most Jakobs rifles, elemental damage, and you choose when to stop shooting.
