So when I complete TVHM can I start it again with the same character. I hear that you can and every bad guy is scaled to 50?

TVHM is PT2. The PT2.5 people often talk about is when you only do the story missions in TVHM (don't accept ANY side missions). If you leave all side missions, complete the story in TVHM, then go back and accept the missions they will all be scaled to 50, making all weapons and mission rewards level 50.

TVHM just makes it so that all quests and enemies are scaled directly to your level instead of the main story mission that you're on. So like, if you are level 40 all enemies will be between levels 39-43 or something and quests should scale somewhere along those lines as well. For the sake of better unique loot you should wait to accept side quests until level 50 in TVHM.

This is inaccurate.

Normal Mode = PT1 (Levels 1 - 32)
TVHM = PT2 (Levels 32 - 50)
PT2.5 = PT2.5 (Levels 49 - 53)

In Normal and TVHM the enemies scale to the level of the main story mission, though not universally. The enemies in Southern Shelf, for example, will remain in their low 30s until PT2.5. In PT2.5 everything is level 49 - 53 and the side missions are all level 50 as are their rewards.

TVHM is achieved when you complete main story mission in Normal. PT2.5 is achieved when you complete the main story mission in TVHM.

So let me get this straight, once I complete TVHM I can start a new game with the same character and all side missions will be available again but scaled to lvl 50?

Only if you didn't do the side missions in playthrough 2.

basically the only thing that you will need to do in 2.5 is side quests, its not a new game+ or anything... the enimes just scale higher and the side quests are all lvl 50 now

The game does not start again after TVHM, it's just that everything else scales to your level.
