Are Jakobs Sniper names Native American words?

Tumtum, Chikamin, Hyiu, etc... They sound like Native American words.

Anybody know if they are, and if so, what specific language/tribe they come from?

Chinook...forgot that one.

I randomly found the words Hyiu and Chickamin and Muck-a-Muck in some "Legends of Vancouver" text online. It's some kind of native legends and words in I think the Chinook language.

Interesting choice. I still don't know what any of the words actually mean, but it's a start.

Yup, all of the prefixes and weapon titles for jakobs snipers are from the chinook language. Also, all Vladof sniper prefixes and titles are from nadsat (the language the "droogs" use in A Clockwork Orange)

Thanks! Anyone know what the words actually mean? Is there a readily available translator online, or a list somewhere? Now I'm just curious.

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems like finding a Chinook translation for words should be pretty easy.
