I just found a level 35 Elephant Gun. Red text says "hated by large numbers of people", no idea what it does. I think it's high damage for that level (7000), but I'm playing a lvl 50 so have no frame of reference right this second.

I have a level 30 rifle that does 1891 so I think you might be right

Pretty much all the new guns are better than similar old guns at what they do.

No not really seeing as I'm level 17 and don't want to pay 10$ for an extra 3 hours to the game nor care about being able to kill .001% of the game in under 10 seconds by tirelessly farming or exploiting to get the prefect combination of orange equipment
