@youngunner

I would assume the DROP feature is there for when you accidentally pick up a bunch of white items worth $69, and now your inventory is full so you can't pick up the Hammer Buster that is sitting right there.

NOPE! It's just Chuck Testa.

think that's BS on their part. I do not make video games or code them and I can tell you that they CAN block duping

1. They have a trade window
2. They have vending machines

Now you are wondering what does that mean

Well simple 3. They also have a Y button that LET'S you DROP items

Why would they implement that feature if they already have a trade mechanic of 4 items and money. And vending machines to let you sell undesirable items? So how is it that they don't know how to stop duping

Ps #3 ironically is disabled when you have a specific mission item Lol at how stupid and dumb that is

Dropping is for bulk disposal. Or making space for other things. Yes you can trade like this. But the trade menu is meant for trading. Keep in minds you can dupe using the trade menu. Duping has nothing to do with the interface. Shops don't matter. Between heroes path and the warrior there are only 2 sets of machines. Once you're halfway through heroes path it's a pain to go back to the beginning and I'd you go forward you cant get back until you defeat the warrior making your attempt at making space for more loot pointless. That's once example of why we can drop and are not forced to depend on shops.

Drop disabling is for player safety. Some people will make the mistake of dropping, trading, or selling important items. It happens in all rpgs without a safety measure. And yes they can theoretically "block" duping. They just haven't figured out how they, or randy was just being a wishful thinker when he tweeted that comment.

Oh, you thought they made this game for you? You clearly bought the wrong game.

yeah i thought those fancy smart phones had auto correct??

Auto correct and word prediction are the reasons for are the spelling and grammatical errors. The phone don't use context clues it just replaces misspelled words with the closest spelling of the proper word.

I swype really fast so it can get crazy. You usually have to tweak the preferences and accuracy vs speed so it'll fit the user. I don't have time to be bothered with that. Especially when the main issue is your vs you're. I can live with that.

Sidenote: The new version of swype has phrase recognition. So I can type "happy v" and the phone will predict "Happy Valentine's Day. " I found that nifty.

but yet you have the time to reply 5 times about how you know how to spell....

It wasn't about spelling it was about "granmar." It's early and I'm fresh. Everyone deserves there own special response. Also the more pointless crap I type the better I get with this new phone. There's also the side effect of keeping this topic over top of LF post.

GB could have made a save after you enter or exit a menu. A small one, may e even behind the scenes so it won't even effect your progress. Something could have been done. Dropping and duping is not the climate change problem everyone is making it out to be. I' m not really for or against duping, I have duped and had items dupe for me. But the fact remains it was not originally intended, not with such an intelligent design as dropping and dash boarding. They may not be Johnny on the spot to fix it because it has become a major bullet point now that the fans will rage quit if it is "corrected."

To be honest if you quit a game because you can't cheat you are not a true fan.

Being unintelligent is the worst possible curse.

"True fan" is a perception. There is no level to fandom. People are fans or people are not. It's judgemental people who create a skewed vision of themselves and the product to which they attach themselves to that create false investments. And if people quit a product because of a change, be fixing a problem, then they have that right. They purchased the product, use it as they intended and disregarded it when the intent was removed. Consumerism, not religion.

This is getting worn out. Here's the deal.

1. Gearbox is in the business of making money. Period.

2. Inevitably, some portion of potential customers for any video game want shortcuts. And not a small portion, either. You might be surprised to find that it is more than half of potential customers.

3. One shortcut is the ability to duplicate weapons available in the game, especially weapons not readily available.

4. If Gearbox removes that shortcut, they remove that portion of their sales. Simples. (If they remove that shortcut AFTER everyone has bought the game, there would be a huge backlash, one that might threaten future sales of, say, a GOTY edition.)

5. See point 1.

6. It doesn't need to be said, but here goes. Gearbox, or any other video game developer, is not in the business solely to cater to hardcore, play it straight, true fan customers.

I would add here a disclaimer about whether I agree or disagree with duping, but I suspect you don't care if you disagree with my points.

These arguments are worse than LF topics. At least when I see LF, I can skip them.

Carry on.

This probably isn't doing much to dissuade Kabooms little (insert whichever one you like) complex, he set the topic, added a little fuel and now he doesn't even have to troll himself. He has people doing it to each other. Now he gets to just sit back and watch like his own little troll porn channel.
