I'd say your best bet to get a good one is in the Treasure room of Scarlett's dlc....same thing with the e-techs too.

Here's a person of good taste
Vladof ARs are the AKs of the game, basic, reliable and lethal. They even look like AKs, what is cool for itself. Of course, I'm talking about the single barrel vladof AR, not the minigun/gatling type (they're great too, but I think of them more as supressive fire machine guns, not ARs).
The lack of power is relative, if you consider the insane rate of fire. Those of you anarchists fans knows what I mean. You can use them to CQC, medium range, and, with a vladof allegiance, even to snipe. Ammo consumption is high, but AR ammo is not an issue in this game.
They can be guerrillas (jackobs barrel), renegades (dahl barrel) or just "rifles" (vladof or bandit barrel). Don't let the generic name of these last impresses you. I have a bandit barrel Severe Rifle and love it, with its 9.7 firerate and 90% accuracy. Desperately looking for a pure vladof one.
One tip to farm puples like these is that kind of topic that you see here often "Hey dude, I've been killing pete/terra/etc all day, join my game and clean the trash to me, please". People use to pay attention only in legendaries, forgetting good stuff on the ground.
