Following advise I got on these boards I'm going to use a build that uses kunai, execute, and bore. Plan on trying to solo raid bosses in TVHM and soloing UVHM. What equipment should I be looking for in TVHM 2.5 to be able to handle UVHM ? --- Candy: Tastes like chicken, if chicken was a candy.
Slagga Captain Blade's Rapier The Sham Double Penetrating Unkempt Harold
Apply Slag, use Deception, Kunai like hell, Execute while holding Rapier. The DPUH is for when you need to deal damage while waiting for Deception to cool down. Also good for getting Second Winds.
You're also gonna want another shield to pair with the Sham for areas that aren't heavy with gun-wielding enemies. Your pick, really. I just went with The Bee. --- http://i.imgur.com/98y63.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yOcp8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wdX6S.jpg
i went through the entire game except for blood wing and the warrior with a melee build. it was really fun too. have a strong rocket laucher to be safe, but all you really need is a bladed ruby, a rapier, might of the seraphs melee relic, the love thumper shield, legendary class mod (or melee if you want), and a good leech grenade. it was pretty easy until about halfway through the game. however, after unlocking kunai in my late 50's, melee zero was back on top for me... except for the warrior. --- ~I will floss my teeth with your soul~
Love Thumper or Hide of Terramorphous Evisceration Rubi (Slag element, ideally) Captain Blade's Rapier (Slag) Legendary Hunter com, or a blue-rarity Ninja com that adds to Back Stab and Killing Blow Cooldown relic
If you're gunning, I dunno, just go with whatever you want. Pistol builds are pretty popular for Zer0, and the Sniping tree has a lot of skills that work well with shotguns. A Maggie backed by the Bee is pretty sweet, and you can get a lot of damage from an Infinity if you put points into One Shot One Kill and Rising Shot. For shotguns the obvious choice is the Conference Call, but if you want something a little easier to farm the Blockhead is a really good gun for the first part of the game, when most enemies are weak against fire. Try to get it with the Gentle prefix.
Orrrr you could just Beehawk/Shamfleet your way to victory. :p --- What everyone needs to do is calm down, take a deep breath, and prepare their bodies for the Thunderdome. GT: janejana
Cool thanks for all the advise! Now that I know what I need I have a question about farming. If a certain boss has a weapon do I have to start the quest with the boss in 2.5 so that he will spawn with a high level version of the weapon? For example if I wanted to get a Hellfire from Scortch will I mess up getting a level 50 gun if I take the quest with Scortch at lvl 35? If I kill him at 35 will he reappear at lvl 50 when I come back at 50? --- Candy: Tastes like chicken, if chicken was a candy.
