I am planning out my Krieg skill tree, and I'm going to make my Krieg a close-up powerhouse, and I'm going with Mania for that. If I've mapped it out correctly, I can go down one more skill tree once I get to the bottom of Mania. Which is better for close-up engagements where I will constantly be in the enemies faces, Bloodlust or Hellborn? I'm leaning towards Hellborn for its damage reduction skills, but I've also spotted a few nice skills in Bloodlust.
Edit: Topic typo, meant to say "Up-close engagements" --- "This...sentence...is...false!" "Umm... True, I pick true. See? Not hard at all"
Why do people keep asking these questions when Krieg hasn't been released yet and nobody knows the answer? --- XBOX GT: illbzo1 Currently playing: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Borderlands 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Soul Hackers

There have been a few skill reveal videos showing off nearly all the skills this past week. Krieg is already finished, we are just waiting for MS to roll out the Marketplace update --- "This...sentence...is...false!" "Umm... True, I pick true. See? Not hard at all"
The reason is simple. Mania mostly focuses on melee and Rampaging. Bloodlust has quite a few skills that buff Buzz Axe Rampage/melee, such as Blood Overdrive, Buzz Axe Bombardier, and Blood Trance. Hellborn has a few skills that buff melee but not Buzz Axe Rampage.
Basically, you're gonna be using Buzz Axe Rampage a lot with Mania, and Bloodlust has a lot more synergy with it.
