Krieg discussion with JUST PURE FACTS... check your emotions at the door

So, love him or hate him... doesn't matter, but Krieg's Action skill DOES appear to be... broken.

It says very plainly on Buzz Axe Rampage (BXR henceforth) that...

Your Melee Damage and Movement Speed is ncreased. Killing an enemy instantly refills your health. taking damage accelerates cooldown recharge.
Melee Damage: 500%
Cooldown: 120 Seconds


Now, let's say that Krieg's base melee damage at level 1 is 10 points. Using the BXR skill should result in damage equal to 50 points of damage (10x500%=50)

Conversely the Rapier lists its melee damage as being 250%. So with all things equal it would do 25 points of damage (10x250%=25)

This is the basis for the argument that there's something wrong. When Bahroo and Wolf tested BXR vs. the Rapier the results showed the Rapier outperforming on a melee attack.

So... having listed all of these truths, what could be the cause of this discrepancy? Thoughts?

Yea, it's getting really old. Who cares, it'll eventually be "fixed". I'm having fun with him and hardly find myself using his action skill.

Just did 2 tests:

Level 13 Krieg vs level 29 Axton

Melee: 18
Melee Attachment: 26
BXR: 86
BXR Throw: 52

Level 13 Krieg vs Level 1 Maya

Melee: 115
Melee Attachment: 171
BXR: 573
BXR Throw: 344

*all damage listed is Krieg's damage output

Why is Krieg's melee not constant? I'm assuming all character's melee works this way. Why does it scale down the higher the enemy?

I never said that he wasn't a fun character. In fact Krieg is awesome. I'm simply curious, that is all.

That happens with all forms of damage, broski. It's not just Krieg. That Axton is 16 levels higher, so you're losing roughly 85% of the damage.
