Krieg's Hellborn Tree...

#1Tequila_ShotPosted 7/1/2013 8:28:08 AM
Two questions about his Hellborn tree.

First, am I right to assume that he takes normal fire damage without Numbed Nerves, while on fire.

Second, I heard that if I equip him with a fire immunity shield, it will prevent him from being able to activate the Hellborn buffs. If this is the case, (kind of asking if it is or not), would I instead be able to use a fire resist shield to reduce the amount of damage he takes while on fire to still being able to activate the Hellborn buffs?

I can confirm fire immunity will not allow him to receive buffs. Can't answer the rest.

Burn immunity shields make you immune to being burned.

If you care about how much damage the self-burn does, you are doing something really wrong. It's pretty miniscule to start with and you should be healing far faster anyways.

Unnecessary hostility aside, I never paid much attention to how much damage it dealt. When I played with my Commando, I used an adaptive shield, so I barely took much elemental damage to begin with.

IIRC, adaptive shields only work with enemy elemental damage, not doing it to yourself.

Indeed, mate. But, like I said in my previous post, I used the adaptive shield with my Commando who, to the best of my admittedly incomplete knowledge, has nothing akin to Krieg's Hellborn tree. Good to know nonetheless, though.
