Any build suggestions for a level 50 Gunzerker in UVHM? It's crushing me now.

Seriously it took me over an HOUR just to kill MidgeMong by my lonesome. Before you ask, I don't have any legendary weapons or gear, I haven't been that lucky. I mean is UVHM only supposed to be even doable if you have the absolute best stuff or what? I wouldn't think it would take over an hour just to beat a "Normal" difficulty quest. But MidgeMong almost literally one shot me every time I inched a piece of flesh an inch past cover. Not only that but he kept instantly regenerating even if he was near a re-spawn post. And hell I noticed that the enemies regenerate health now too. How is this scaled anyway? Enemies have DPS in the 100K mark is seems with millions of HP on average, billions if its an Badass it feels like. Who the hell decided this is balanced for the unlucky sod that never managed to get any legendary gear? To put it in perspective I farmed Hunter Helquist and The Warrior for just about 2 days(and I do mean 48 hours a piece). That's some 200 runs a piece with NOTHING Legendary to show for it, sure I found the occasional better gun but that's about it.

In all honesty, it sounds like you either have a bad build, guns don't compliment you're build, or you're just bad...

Tell us your playstyle and we will help you better, rather than giving you a cookie cutter build, tell us what guns you use, pistols/shotguns/whatever and we will suggest easy things to get or skills. Also post your skill tree www.bl2skills.com

Gunzerk with a slag gun in your offhand, if you aren't already. That'll help you immensely.

If you farm a slag Rubi on TVHM, then you can really make UVHM pretty easy.

Well I've been popping Gunzerk, usually dual wielding a slag SMG and a Jacobs pistol, took the perks for bonus accuracy and the damage boost while Gunzerk is on cooldown along with Hard To Kill(a must). I've got guns for every occasion but I usually roll with a Acid Shotgun, Slag SMG, Basic Pistol and I switch the fourth around as needed(its usually a Torgue Assault Rifle). Everything I've got is my level, damage for each is usually around 10K or so depending on the gun(I've got a sniper rifle that does 30K normal damage and a Rocket Launcher that does some 150K damage).

First off. I'd do either Divergent Likeness OR Keep it Piping Hot, but if you choose Divergent Likeness then you need to always have two of the same type of gun equipped.

I'd recommend something like this. But it's really different from what you're using. http://www.bl2skills.com/gunzerker.html#505051550005502004300000000000000

In UVHM you kinda wanna focus on damage a bit more than health bonus at times. If you can't survive really 20% health won't do much, but like 40% more damage or more will. Also I went for the Reload speeds, and pistol bonuses since pistols have typically low mags and added in inconceivable so money shot may proc more. Same Reason I added in 5 Shots or 6.

Wouldn't '5 Shots Or 6' cause 'Money Shot' NOT to trigger though? Its the LAST bullet in the clip and with the magazine boost from 'Filled To The Brim' most pistols go over the 10 bullet minimum. Also, no points in 'Hard To Kill' at all seems a bit suicidal to me, I don't have any Class Mods that boost many of the skills you've got up. Most go towards Health, Shields and one for Health Regeneration and Gun Damage at the expense of Shield Capacity. Most of the bonus skills are 'Hard To Kill', 'Sexual Tyrannosaurus' along with 'Lay Waste' and 'Last Longer'. I'll post up what I got in a bit though, thanks for the help however.

Five Shots or Six will make the last bullet last longer occasionally too sometimes. I have a mod that boosts it and Inconceivable and Money Shot sometimes will occur 5 times or more in a row. It works really well and when it happens that much, it's worth it imo. It's best with pistols that consume more than one ammo. And although really used by a lot of people, if you have the Torgue DLC the Unkempt Harold is a very easy farm. If you can't farm it yet on UVHM then go to TVHM and you can farm it there with weaker enemies and it'll be level 50 still. Shouldn't take but 30 minutes to farm it if you do it quickly.

Also in UVHM the 20% health really won't effect you too much and .5% healh regen say on about 120k Health is still only 600 Per Second. Which on UVHM is really nothing. Not worth it IMO. You should try and farm something like the Rubi or go get the Grog Nozzle if you're having trouble. They're commonly recommended for regaining health. Both are from quests.

I've got mods that give +5 to 'Hard To Kill' so the bonus is actually 40% total, its a fair bunch. Also, the mod with it has a boost to Gun Damage as well. I top out at about 78K HP or so with it 'Hard To Kill' at 10.

I have to agree with the last few points. In UVHM enemies will drop you like they're slapping a baby, whether you have high max health or not. I pay much more attention to shield than health, as they seem to have a harder time breaking shields than health. Drop your points in Brawn and focus them on skills that either put out more damage or invest in Gunzerking. As Salvador, although it's obvious, you should be Gunzerking as much as possible. Here is my current build, which also happens to be a 50 right now.

http://www.bl2skills.com/gunzerker.html#055011501000505510515000000000000

Notice how I invested a lot in skills that reduced by cooldown? My class mod increases cooldown rate as well, and also adds skills to Last Longer and Yippy Ki Yay, I believe. By the time my Gunzerking runs out of time, I have already cooled off and am good to start again if I need to.

UVHM will make you question how fun this game actually is. It's tedious and some enemies are just outright obnoxious. Slag is your best friend ever. Get a good slag gun. I would recommend the Slagga, if possible, or some other high rarity weapon. It sounds like you're very underarmed, so going back into TVHM to get some better gear will not be a bad idea. A Bee and the Warrior won't drop what you need. Focus on how you play, and use that to your advantage. For me, I love Jakobs pistols. So I farmed the crap out of the Maggie. I don't even know how many different Maggie's I have at all different levels. I have probably at least 10. I also love the Slagga and the Badaboom (For second winds, usually).

Some ideas:

Farm a Hellfire, or buy a Moxxi's Good Touch. Fire weapons are great, especially at the start of the story. Later on, when you start seeing loaders, buy a Bad Touch from Moxxi. Those are very easy to get and solid weapons.

The Bee is great for bosses. The Bee is terrible for general combat. It's low capacity and long delay will have you swearing at your TV and will make you feel like a piece of paper, not a Gunzerker. Look for a Hide of Terramorpheous, or some other similar shield. I generally look for high capacity and low recharge delay. Don't disregard Turtle shields either. If the health loss is less than the capacity gained, especially if the delay is lower than what you have (And they usually are), then that will be a better option for you. If you can somehow get your hands on one, an Antagonist is even better than the Hide of Terra.

I usually don't consider Grenades as important as most other equipment, but I definitely love Hyperion grenades. They pull enemies towards them and this feature can be great when dealing with large groups, and also help to get annoying enemies out of your face. Bonus points if it's a Longbow Slag grenade.

For a relic, any decent cooldown relic is a win in my book. I personally run a good Allegiance relic for Jakobs a lot, as getting an increased size on my Maggie's is sweet, but cooldown relics are my second choice.

The articles above should tell you just about anything you need to know about any of the weapons I mentioned. If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask. If you're not sure about good methods for farming some of the enemies for the above equipment, check Youtube. yoteslaya is pretty good for farming guides, even if some of his commentary can be tiresome at times, his videos are still good.
